Ocelot from MGS3.A quick-ish sketch that I originally drew as practice, with absolutely no intention of posting here on dA...until ~CakesNCrayons forced me to. >_>
Doesn't it suck that your best drawings come in doodles?

Lol he was such a noob at MGS3.. Interesting fact though he's not fighting the same snake as in MGS1 and too bad he died after soon(He did right..? I kinda forgot. That and I never played MGS2).

Yeah, that I shall. But he's so hard to draw. >_< It's the lack of hair and the hard facial features. It's difficult to make him look young.
Old Ocelot would be easier. All you have to do is slap on a mustache on a wrinkly guy with long hair.
He was a noob. XDDD For a time I did lose my respect for him. Now he's okay... but I still think he's a dork. lol
Nope he didn't. He was alive in MGS2, and now he's in MGS4.

Hahah. I so agree with that. Like, in life drawing class I used to get, everyone keeps insisting on how it's harder to draw old geezers. But I really think it's the opposite; while there are many details that needs attention in drawing old people, that's also the very reason they're so much easier to draw(since there are so many appealing details surrounding each other it automatically coordinates as you draw..)On the other hand, younger people, though possessing as less details, are actually much harder to draw since the lines that'd be needed for them are at the same time must be strong yet delicate. Not to mention the lack of details making it harder to coordinate facial features.. Those don't happen when drawing old geezers like good ol' Ocelot.
Of course, to think he was like that once..
Oh, yeah I forgot. He only got injured in MGS1, not killed.

I agree with what you said. ~_~ You can make the features as hard as you can if they're old, but when they're young... it's completely different. You have to define yet make things look all soft and delicate at the same time.

And so, is how I believe why the greatest artists are known for drawing younger people.(Well, not a fan of him but as far as I'm concerned it happened to Da Vinci) Which is, not just because old people art aren't interesting to look at, but rather just because they're actually that much easier to do.. I'm starting to get paranoid, about how people who say old people are much harder to draw are actually saying it just so we practice by doing the easiest first(basics. Never give up on relentless hard work) before moving on to the more delicate things which requires something else other than simple hard work...
Ya.. That actually happened to him. Seeing how I never play MGS2 though, I really don't know how he fights anymore. Did he got an artificial arm of some kind?

In my opinion, in terms of realistic style, young people are harder to draw. Young cartoon or anime people are easy as far as I know. Maybe they base what they say on cartoon or anime styles?
Strangely enough you don't fight Ocelot in MGS2. o_o Yeah, he got Liquid's right arm transplanted onto his stump and Liquid occasionally possesses him. XDDD;; Weird I know, but everything else after MGS1 is just...weird. I've gotten used to it.

Ah.. Yeah, all that genome thing. Yep.. I must admit they've gotten too weird soon after for me to enjoy anymore(especially given how you're not snake all the time in MGS2.. That and gotten used to MGS3 mechanics, I find the actions in its predecessor to be very limited >.< ). Though, seeing how I'm running out of games I might just slap on MGS2 on my PS2 to kill time when I'm not doing art..
Still, I've also got to watch all the anime & movies I've downloaded for others out of mutual interest but never get to see them myself. Aside from some DS games I'm playing on an emulator.. So I doubt I've the time to play.
Well, I'm less and less a gamer these days. Not updating my gaming system, eventually I'll get to playing it. I think.

My friends favorite character is Ocelot, and I like young Ocelot too, but I do like old Ocelot alot more. There's just something about 2 old guys fighting eachother lol.
