Description
A screen print as part of my project on Narcolepsy. My girlfriend (depicted) suffers from it, and I know has many struggles because of it. I wanted to use my artwork to capture some of the emotions & situations she has to deal with everyday as a result of narcolepsy/cataplexy.
This depicts the harmful words of others, in relation to narcolepsy, which become ingrained in the victim's mind, never leaving them and constantly being a source of anxiety and psychological harm.
The blue tones of the portrait are symbolic of the night time; with the red text boldly outstanding-showing how it keeps sufferers awake at night.
