Okay, for starters, the topic of this piece means a lot to me. Recently, I read a story about a little girl who was beaten constantly and raped by her own father for almost 10 years before social services removed her from her home. Her Dad was released, and the mother is still married to him. One arguement from the social workers is that the girl had said that nothing was wrong when they arrived, and that she said at a later date that she had been forced to cover the bruises and scars with makeup. I did some research, and it turns out that there was a rise in known severe abuse cases in the UK and USA a couple of years ago, and it's gone down recently by about 27%. The question is, does this mean that there is less abuse in the UK and USA, or pretty much the same amount, but no one is finding out about it? Maybe social services are going downhill, or maybe the parents are becoming even more intimidating? Iunno. D:

Anyway, I made this using photoshop. >.< I'm pretty proud of it. I have to admit, typing half of that stuff nearly made me start blubbing. D:
