Ok I rarely do critiques becouse I usually think too hard on what I'm going to say but this image really spoke to me as a writer of drama, tragedy and war. From what I can see the devil is beautiful, I don’t know much about this pony’s past but judging from the image, it looks like it was truly tragic and heart breaking, to a point that outshines the pain she is feeling now. The pain in her eyes made me feel great despair for this unfortunate alicorn. And the fire like mane and tail made the image influence me even more, (I don’t know why but I think it adds to the pain in some way.)

I must seem somewhat dark talking about the pain this pony feels. like it’s a good thing, but I can’t help but wonder, how this pony got into the mess that she is in, what is it that torments her past so, and will she get out of this unfortunate situation alive, and if so… at what cost.

I'm often hesitant to critique works that look like they might be forms of personal expression, because I'm worried they may be trying to convey something, and nothing says "I don't understand" like ignoring the potential meaning of a piece of art for its outwards aesthetic.

The mood is grim, but some parts of the picture don't read. I can't tell her emotion; If it's angry or sad. I can't tell if she's burning up or bleeding, and if she is burning up, I can't tell if it's a reflection of her power or if she's just disintegrating. I can't tell if she's following the flames or falling into them. I can't tell if she's charging or falling. Maybe that's the point.
