Description After weeks of agonizing over a character design based (if you know me) pretty blatantly on a real person, I finally decided to just go with it and draw my ex boyfriend exactly how he is. The eventual penalty of dating anyone who draws comics has always been fated to become a part of one of their stories. Here, he features as the focus of a short story of the image title which is going into a small anthology containing stories about my city, Richmond VA. This is the first extremely personal story I will ever have put to print, and to be honest, I'm kind of really nervous about it! uuuhhhhhh!

I'm not kidding. He even has that black eye. He had one yesterday. Some asshole elbowed him in the eyeball at a show. It's completely adorable.

On the flipside, I havent really been drawing like usual for a sizable chunk of time, so I feel like I'm really out of my essence. I need to get my chops back, y'all! wish me luck!

SO RAAAD Ugh I love this. Is this whats-his-face? I guess it might not be for me to know, but I can tell you that I totally relate to knowing hot guys like this. WHY DO YOU MAKE IT SO HARD FOR ME TO LOVE YOUUUU. I'd love to see this comic eventually!

thanks! I was going for dramatic lighting but sort of lazily colored everything. Next time the light vs shadow will be more accurate

as for drawing people you know in your comics, ahem, I'm always kinda nervous too, especially now that I'm working on a personal project where every character is based more or less on people I know/knew... I might get a black eye when I finish that too...

yes! literally. I chant it, in my art temple that I made out of old beer cans and a magazine portrait of jackson pollock over a splatter of real human blood.

I just passed my final exams and I have time to think about stuff seriously. I really like the idea but we shoul come up with something more specific. It would be great to built some kind of elite (ekhem) club or whatever for some good artist to draw and ave fun. Any ideas?

what kind of themes? humnnnn. fights. getting sucker punched in the face. blood. I am on such a beautiful gore kick right now. this is all I can think about at the moment? I'm sure there are better themes. haha? uhhhh.. hmm. outer space? unusually paired romances? mystical fights? Alternate universes? girls with three boobs? I mean, the possibilities are endless.

That game where one person draws a page of comic. then the next person has to continue the story. and then the next person, then the next, etc etc. COOL, RIGHT?

Hi there!
Sorry for this lack of absence, but I'm struggling with my first comic that actually will be published (with script that is perfectly not mine). Anyway! I love idea of the comic with one page from different person. If we could invite some cool people it would be even better! I would set it in some kind of limbo or place where everything is possible. The only thing I would add to the rules is that you're tagging next person with a word (for example "unicorn") and that thing should appear on page or be mentioned in character conversation or whatever (to achive some kind of continuum and rise some hell).
Only thing that I can't have any idea of, is- should we put it on some website? Or whaaaa? Sorry again for being so late, but my life got really complicated with my graduation_~_. Thanks!

thanks! haha, it's not gonna be too long or anything, but I'm putting a lot of effort into it! I hope it ends up A) being a good decision, B)earning me one million dollars, or C)securing me a high paying job as the president's official in-house caricaturist. one or any of these results will be acceptable.
