I'm really not the best at this so sorry if this comment is a little...off...but I'm going to give it a shot! XD
Okay, so the first thing that really stands out to me is the kind of gradient effect here. It goes from white(Innocence I would guess) to blue(Calm or mischievous in Jack's case) and then it goes dark(Despair?). I find this very sad as it kind of shows how far Jack has fallen to the point where he just breaks down. At least his little sister is there to try and comfort him.
All in all, a very nice picture.

Thank you! :) Nonsense, this comment is great and when I read it the first time it truly made my day (and I must say I am terribly sorry for the late response, I have not been feeling up to replying to most of anything in my inbox, depression is a pain in the ass).

I love the gradient idea and that Jack is in the darkness. Gives some pretty strong symbolism, me thinks. I also love on how you made Emma pretty translucent but you can still see her hands grasping on to his <3
While I'm no expert, the nose and the eyes of Emma look a little weird to me. XD Usually when it comes to poses that I've never tried, I try to look for others who have tried drawing a similar pose and reference from that. It really helps. XD
But this is really good <3 Something in my head is poking me, saying that there should be like a tiny text somewhere in this gradient awesomeness (like 'Don't cry' or something), but that's just me. XD

Giving feels is something I find myself to do a lot of. c; I actually worked on this when I was in a sad mood myself, and drawing a sad character helped me express my emotions er, safely. I added Emma -or Elizabeth as I call her- to try and lighten the mood, make it into a bittersweet piece.
Heh, yeah they do! I'm still working on how to draw the face at different angles, I really need to as you see. ;) I usually try to find references, but sometimes I challenge myself to go free-hand.
I almost did add some text! I can't remember what it was now but, I just couldn't get it to look the way I wanted it to. c;

I actually haven't done it in a long while and I kind of miss it. :< I mostly give myself feels when I write compared to drawing, though.
Pfft whenever I go free-hand (aka too lazy to find a reference and I just don't care anymore) it usually ends up pretty horrible. =u= Or, well, in retrospect when I use references sometimes it still ends up pretty bad too. XD
Oh really? XD Well the piece looks fine without it too, me thinks.
