very interesting photo,. I like the perspective and the sort of emptiness that is located on the left of the picture.. the rocks make a sort of texture feel, and make your eyes bump around like you were driving on it. great how lots of patterns are displayed, the patterns on the dress, the different rocks, and then the middle part with the stream where the lines are directing the eye to the side, out of the picture.

the most capturing and interesting part of this piece is the way the upper half is structured and strait, while the lower half of the ground, which she is standing on, isnt more moving and curving... interesting composition and wonderful, I also love hte border as well as the the bright area on her dress... helps draw your eye to the subject... very interesting shot... SWEET!

My favorite part of this image is definitly the sidewalk, I love how it is so severly divided by the black, and how the top pattern is different from the pattern of the stones on the bottom. I also just really like the angle of the girl from overhead, and her casual relaxed pose. Nice work.

having seen only the thumbnail i thought the photo was of a girl on a rooftop. now i see that it isn't - but it doesn't make it any less good. and i agree with the fact that there's a story in it, or probably a lot of stories - one for each viewer, at least...
what captured my interest first was the division between the patterns of the upper and the lower parts: both reflect order, but the upper (mental) side carries a more disciplined approach, while the lower (emotional) one implies a wave-like attitude, which is just how ppl most often work. apparently, there's a tension between these two, which, when viewed with the girl in the focus, tells (to me, at least) of a divided personality (suggested even stronger by the horizontal blackness in the middle) who is quite often unable to fit her conscious wishes with her unconscious desires... her placement in the picture indicates (to me, again, as always in this note ) that she's considering some past events of great importance that led to her current torn state, with which she can't easily cope right now - she needs distraction, she needs clouds to hide in from the truth (she's smoking, see? symbols seem to work quite well here
) which will, however, inevitably hit her soon, and with no weak impact (this is implied by the black divider, the lamp-post / column / behind her - or, to be more precise, to the right from her, which is "the future" of the image...)
hmmm, that's what i see in this. maybe it's telling of the girl, maybe it's telling of the one who took this photo, maybe it's telling of me ...but it might just be the utter misinterpretation of the picture as well. i had to ramble for a while, anyway...
i like this picture.
