A piece that is both personal and a gift to a dear friend. Our gryffs (from gryffs.com) can be seen here finding comfort in each other during rough times.

This piece just sort of came together one night while the two of us were talking. Life's journey isn't meant to be made alone. Every now and then you need someone to lean on, when the storm rages and you think you might get blown away. These two lovely lady gryffs, perched upon their rock, have survived a storm by clinging to each other, where they may have been lost on their own, and have now survived to see the beautiful sky and clouds that comes after the worst of storms.

This piece had large sections done in both SAI and PSCS 6, depending on what i was working on. For the most part, lines and shading in SAI, background and lighting details in PSCS 6.
