Description Maastrichtian, Late Cretaceous, 68 MYA, Western North America
The female Torosaurus latus had wandered away from the herd. She now finds herself in a sea, not of water, but of dirt and earth. She climbs deeper and deeper into the cool, relaxing mud. There she waits. There is no fear of predators, for none could sneak up in the sloshing mud. Only the flies bother her now. Only if she could wade in the mud forever, but the need for food pulls her back into the merciless sun.

This painting is pretty small. You'll be getting lots of work this summer because I'm out of school. I've been experimenting with some paint recently.

Very nice! Makes sense too, large animals simply love bathing in mud.
