I read this yesterday and literally laughed out loud. Hilarious death scene!
Also, I really like the way you use the colours to indicate who is talking.

Not all villains deserve the air time of a monologue... Glad you like it
Colours are pretty much the only way I can indicate the different people talking, since I have yet to learn the ways of proper panelling

I recommend getting loads of trash comics (just because they're cheap) to get ideas for paneling, or good ones, because they're usually more interesting to read... Also, webcomics are pretty awesome for learning as well as being entertaining.

But, I really do think the colours were clever.

I didn't have a table then, so there wasn't much I could do about paneling when importing images from several different GIMP files into one. I'll see what I can do differently now.

The colours idea was taken from some of the comics I read. Thanks again.

Not so much the rose. More like leaving himself exposed while monologue-ing and expecting ALL of the 'good' guys to listen attentively.

I can't even begin to count the number of times I saw this exact scenairio happen in my D&D group.

Uber-Villian: Blah-blah-blah ultimate power blah-blah resistence is....

THIS, [link] and the next page, and possibly the whole thing if you have the time XD

Heck, you don't even need the monk--sometimes the wizard just does the job: on the support columns, with magic missle.

Thanks for commenting, friend. I was wondering if no one else got the DnD reference. Ah, good old times.

"Good, that means he's flat-footed."

Everyone in my group thought like that....

I played a kobold wizard/sorceror for a while in 3.5-the cutest little thing ever, the party thought.Until he got fireball.
High-dex + improved initiative + the ability to be even smaller with reduce person meant lots of fights started to our advantage.

I used to play a warforged warmage. His name: The Warsmith.

Ah, I see where it comes from now...
Warmages are somewhat refreshing from typical arcane classes: simple uncomplicated force.

Mourge40k In reply to TheTinkerThinker [2010-10-28 17:40:09 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I like my characters to be straightfoward. The rest of the group was melee heavy,so I was usually the only one who could actually hit a flying opponent.

For real?! I find that if there's no prior discussion, the group usually ends up having no tanks and a lot of squishies For that reason I love druids for flexibility, whether it's summoning meat shields or ranged assault.

This was more of a group of "all ringleaders, no ring."
Besides, we got our hands on the tome of battle. Warblades and Swordsages are some of the mose AWESOME CLASSES EVAR!!! I went for a warmage just to balance things out some....

Depends on the DM, I guess. For us, we'd get quite a lot of annoying mobile enemies (amazing though they may be normally, fighter types are just terrible against flyers). Don't get me started on abberations and other stat-draining crap >.>

Demons. We fought a lot of demons. And undead.... and abberations....

TheTinkerThinker In reply to Mourge40k [2010-10-28 18:08:59 +0000 UTC]

Demons and undead are still fine, but once you get to the stuff that drains stats on touch, require saves upon contact, phase in and out of reality, or the infamous rust monsters, you almost never want to play a melee class again...
I think our DM was just sadistic.
