What a peculiar shape for a staircase!
I like the way you showed the pattern of the grain on the lowest turn. It gives the stairway a real sense of solidity, and starts your eye traveling around the spiral. I do wish the railings were in sharper focus, they look very intricate and add interest to the turns.
The layout of the picture is very well done. There is one strong vertical to anchor the piece and every other line is at a different angle. It makes it a very dynamic piece.
