I think it was a poor idea to copy+paste the hands. It's noticeable and distracting, looks unnatural because it takes a lot of effort to get one's hands into completely identical poses and at the same angle to the viewer, and copy+pasting them instead of drawing them means you get that much less practice drawing them.
I like the fire. It doesn't look like fire, but it evokes the same feeling and looks really cool. Mixing cool colours in there really gives it a magical touch.
I don't think you should get rid of the lines. Instead, maybe try adding some colour to them, so they're not just black?

I'd completely forgotten about doing that, but looking at it again, I see it and yeah, you're right. I'm terrible at hands, so after getting one just right, I guess I figured there was no way I'd be able to get the other one...
Thanks~! Fire's another thing I have no idea how to draw. I just wing it and hope it looks alright. I'd rather have the fire here look at least a little more realistic, I think. I'd jut have to figure out how to go about that. I want it to keep the magical look as well, though.
Colouring the lines is a good idea. I'll try that.
Thanks for the critique~!

Fire is just glowing plasma, so it adds with whatever light is behind it. You can emulate this with an Add or Screen blending mode, but the best thing is of course to paint it so that you actually understand why the colours are the way they are.
The best thing to do is look at reference. This is the one case where photos might actually be better than real life, because they keep the fire still and let you focus on the colours and shapes (but you should still look at plenty of real/non-movie video fire to get a feel for how it moves).
Thank you for now just stamping fire brushes on there. Doing it yourself is an important step towards getting awesome at it.
I'm not sure what to suggest specifically to make the fire more realistic, given that it's magical fire that doesn't just burn in one direction. Try looking at fire juggler videos and photos, as well as stunt people on fire (I'm serious). They make movements with fire that you wouldn't normally see, they might help.

I love how you even thought to singe the edges of his coat a little bit. I love when artists pay attention to small details like that. Absolutely amazing!

[link] You can see it on this one. : D
It's on both sides, but the other one is supposed to be burned too far up on this one *rambles*
