Description The coat of arms atribuated to an once feared corsair, buccaneer and pirate who terrorized the coasts of the Azure Sea, Nezam 'Haram' Vakid.

Born in the southern, coastal Medaya maybe, Nezam Vakid took the sea life of a sailor, abandoning family at an early age... His acts had been clouded in history, but he gained favor from a captain with imperial Letter of Marque in days of tension with the neighboors. Rumors had he slain his captain over a quarrel, or frustration with his 'half baked plans' - using his already homed scimitar fencing skills (medayans have pride in local fencing and martial arts traditions, using the gracious shamshir model).

His reputation of great talents, but also infamy and cruelty had his crew and ship - a Shah-Dowh (a war grade levantine ship related kinda to the thracian caravel) named the 'Nishad Pearl' - 'exiling' themselves southward, and he passed services around, much to the Harathese navy as a sultan,s corsair in the war against Hurvans.

His ranges of activities had been notably wide, to his homeland, to golcondeese coasts, the Caliphate's southward, then Hurva, the coasts of Kush and north of Tal Yorad.... He got famous for cold blooded cruelty when he saw fit 'to seize his ennemies's hearts full of terror', and his great personal fencing skills, as the mightiest of beard, bee waxed and cared highly for.

Rumors in the ports of the Levant have it that he changed of services once too many, and peeved a few lords.... The Hurvan capitain Murad Salda tasked him to an archipelago near Kush, and in an epic naval battle, killed the dread capitain as much of the crew. Recent reports have it that his quatermaster (or pilot?) survived and took on his own in a more discrete, 'pale' manner - a Storm Genasi witha mercurial temper called Owrang ('the Coleric').

A last creepy rumor - it was said that each month, he had his men tasking ports and lands for a man, that he would sacrifice at new moon in the name of Talos-Gruumsh, or a demoniac entity of the seas called Sekholah. It was unproven yet, but.... if true...

I really think I should look at these more often. You really do have a nice variety in each of your coat of arms. How do you do it?

Also, awesome retro video game music.

I use a java based software x3 and imagination, ahaha.... playing on themes, going creative and not following real life rule of heraldry per se. (Aka Rules of Cool and of Art)

for some reasons, I love to add a dash of multimedia - musics is a good bonus for immersion, so to speak... (And Pirates of Dark Water would be a nice influence for the Levantine side of Gaea and around)
