Coat of arms for a possible plot hook of recent history-future/hated dictator, unlawfull and false king (maybe)...

Not much precise yet. Inspired by Lord Blackthorn of Ultima V, honestly, and other real life 'black kings' like the portrait of Richard III(?) by Shakespeare (which was possibly a 'darkening' of the facts for the Stuarts...). Vilified by successors, more legitimate(or not...), subject of some pamphlets or theater piece too.

Nation? Dauvergne or Allamanic crown. A powerful noble family leader, tied to the King by alliance and honor, or a small line of the Royal familly itself.

Antoine de Surrois or Markus Von Vartorius could be possible names

Shadow backers? Nobles houses - specially one of the two 'Warring Houses' who will tear in blood Allamania, or some big names in Dauvergne, 'vas-t'en-guerre'.

The ancient Domo Nuitari for Dauvergne, as they have agents?

The 'hellfire club' of Batavia and northern allamanic states?

Else? His own ambition, or he was a pawn?

Plot? Interregnum. In specially Allamanic case, the King is getting old, and the ruling House maybe short on heirs...

Legacy? On one side, a state solid and agressive politic at first - but with the price on liberties, army and budgets. A tyrant, true and tried, he got to be. Have build prisons and forts around, and the Marny/Tanhauser famous palace.

Supposedly met his end in the sunday evening meal, poisoned or stabbed to death. Historians note that his last meal was a norther speciality, a stew of lampreys, wine and vegetables along rice/noodles, and a fine rousse beer.

So died the tyrant, who had cost so much to a nation.

A possible last note - Soldrin Sol'Narstein may have worked for, or against him. And the conspirators may have been.. taken away as well.

(Pretty much an idea to be expended and explored later. Feels free to stole like much of mine for a personal rpg game, just tell me.)
