So I've found a *temporary* fix for my problem I explained last status update; not the best solution but what's important is that I can scan things again, I guess.Alright so.. there's kinda a story behind this one; way, way back, when I first started getting into weeb stuff, a friend recommended me D.Gray-man by.. telling me that Timcanpy reminded her of Kirby. Years later, I finally got into the series through the manga, so I guess we've come full circle now with this doodle thing.
And yes, I'm totally hyped about the manga returning and the new anime, in case you can't tell. (:<
Tim's actually harder to draw than I thought (and harder to colour). Couldn't quite decide how to draw his wings so I drew it two different ways lol.
The cross thing in the centre of his face was weird too since I had trouble finding the right colour for it.. went with 'skin white' as I thought it'd look cream-y. Didn't like it. :\ Oh also, the Tim on the top left is referring to how I thought he was supposed to be pink before I looked him up not too long ago..
But enough rambling; I found this to be good practice for my markers, even with how sloppy it is. d: Yep, I didn't care that I was colouring out of the lines, or the fact that my linework is a mess.

Not that I'm super familiar with D.Gray-man, but Tim looks more to me like Galacta Knight 0: Must be the cross on his face (and the horns and the wings).
I like the coloring and shading here! It looks really soft and comfy.

Hah thanks! I actually quite like how the marker shading came out in some places; well, specifically, on Tim. Not so much Kirby's.

Woah, I didn't even know yellows can be named like that-- I just have yellow, or more orange-y yellow LOL (I'm a gr8 artist.)
But I think they were drawn very well--- I suck at drawing wings too ; <;
Kirb is used to weird laser/plasma shooting orbs I suppose, the only small teethy monsters are scarfies probably LOL

Lol yeah, copic has pratically any possible shade of colour you can think of; there's like at least 30 for yellow alone, not counting the yellow-oranges/greens (to compare, I've only got 2 xD). Call me a weirdo, but I just love perusing the different markers they have at the store.. so many colours X)

Haha, scarfies always scared me and especially in newer installments since they CHASE YOU when you have a key Kirby is probably used to random savage bites from cute things I s'pose :'D

Stationary's pretty neat too; so are notebook covers, actually.. hmm guess I don't really browse them so much seeing as I don't really use them (whereas, I do use markers.. even if I'm don't end up buying them right away).
Haha you just reminded me of how obsessed I used to be with pens.. X) Guess I just loved the grip and feel of a new pen lol.

Omg, I love notebook covers. Ughhh, I think that's my FAVOURITE thing to buy-- especially since you can write/doodle in them. But I can never bring myself to because it's so nice and new and and --- D'aw, I miss visiting shops for stationary-- I'm actually more of a window shopper and never buy anything haha. But when I do, I always regret buying it for a day or two.
