Description "Appalachia's tyrants (Appalachiosauridae) are much different from the animals called tyrants anywhere else on the planet, they diverged from the main lineage far earlier, in the period called the early cretaceous, when the continent of Appalachia started to become isolated from the rest of the then unified Northern American landmass. While they share many common characteristics with true tyrants (Tyrannosauridae) they also show a lot of primitive characters such as raised lacrimals and larger arms with rather impressive claws. We have enough fossil and morphological data to conclude that the species that inhabit the Appalachian continent today are direct descendants from the extinct Lesser Eastern Tyrant(Appalachiosaurus montgomeriensis), whom the modern day Great Eastern Tyrants (Appalachiosaurus imperator) still resembles the most, making the greater tyrant the most primitive of the modern forms, with the more derived forms being the bizarre Jester and Fish Tyrants, both diverging from the main line relatively recently. Though on average, these magnificent creatures tend to be larger than their more famous Laramidian and Asiatic cousins, they are actually much lighter and more specialised to appalachia's unique collection of enviroments, be they the Misty rainforests of Newark, The open, windswept scorching savannahs of the midlands, The Tall montainous reaches of Grand Virginia's Gorgon's pass and even the tropical coasts and seas of the north. Here on this chapter, we'll draw a detailed picture of some of appalachia's most fantastic and awe inspiring creatures."

(As many of you noticed, my artwork has become progressively better ever since i gone digital, so i've decided to revamp all of my old pieces by their clade/group, as well as introduce a few new players from these groups. So here is the first of them, all the four tyrant species of appalachia! Be sure to check their individual updated artworks and descriptions on their individual pages!-Austroraptor).
