Today marks the 20th anniversary of one of my all-time favorite game series, Banjo-Kazooie had two amazing adventures filled with cartoony characters, colorful worlds, amazing music, and tons of collectibles to collect, the name of the game in these... games. It is with a heavy heart though that these two have fallen on hard times since Nintendo gave them away to Microsoft who have since neglected to do much of anything with the beloved bear and bird. It would not surprise me if today went by without even so much as a nod to the bear and bird’s special day due to their negligence. It’s a crime these two have fallen into obscurity. It reminds me of another beloved video game icon who fell into hard times due to neglect and mishandling of his IP, Mega Man! Mega Man was on the verge of obscurity as well, until Nintendo scooped him up for Smash, and now? He had another amazing game on the way! So, the point I’m getting to is Banjo-Kazooie need to be in Smash! They’re perfectly equipped with all the moves they learned in their first two adventures and this would be the boost they so desperately need to get back on their feet. Plus Nintendo and Microsoft have been getting awfully chummy lately and it would bring the only characters I’ve ever truly wanted in Smash! Sakurai, Nintendo, and Microsoft: PLEASE MAKE THIS DREAM COME TRUE!

:EDIT: HOLY ******** CRAP! THEY ACTUALLY WENT AND DONE DID IT! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT'S FINALLY HAPPENED! THEY EVEN USED THE SAME TAGLINE I CAME UP WITH FOR THEM WAY LAST YEAR WHEN I DID THIS PICTURE. I AM COMPLETELY FLOORED AND ECSTATIC THEY FINALLY RETURNED AND BECAME INAUGURATED IN THE GREATEST VIDEO GAMING CROSSOVER OF ALL TIME. THEY ARE LITERALLY PART OF THE VIDEO GAME HALL OF FAME NOW. #DEAD
