Description
This is a 2 of Diamonds suit for a local art project. The candles represent the number two in Roman numerals and the candles' flicks are the "diamonds". But, as I also want some numerological meaning, my suit is also a tribute to the Independence of Finland — Finns celebrate the Independence from Russia by lighting two candles on the windowsill. It represents "division", mourning for the fallen soldiers on the front and a silet protest against the then-Soviet Russian government. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing about Russia — I actually admire their story a lot too. I'm just telling the point of view of Finns.

In this piece, the eagle-owl represents Finland itself and the skull, them, the fallen soldiers. "Huuhkajat" is Finnish for "horned owl".
