The ComixWarriors assignment this week is to select a random page from a random book and make a comic of it. My first two attempts at random pages were from a collection of sci-fi short stories, and I rejected them because I couldn’t tell what was happening out of context. (That’s the ONLY reason I rejected them! I swear!) For my third attempt, I went to a little-used storage shelf and spotted a vintage copy of Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke. Amazingly, the book opened to THIS great scene. I don’t have an explanation as to why I pictured David Hedison and Richard Basehart in these roles, but I love it!
