It's an earthen material, therefore, Toph can control it. If she were intent on killing Superman, he'd have no chance. Anything less than that and yeah, supes would blow her off like it was nothing. That's the problem with subduing him, you can't, it's either kill or get stomped.

Kryptonite is not from earth for one, and it's a gemstone, not an rock, also kryptonite doesn't kill him, only weaken him, but if he can beat Metallo while weakened, he can sure as hell beat Toph

Yeah, I've given it some thought, and Toph would indeed be able to control Kryptonite. However, it takes more than having the tools to take on Superman to take him out. Superman is able to keep track of the Flash running at top speed, pin-pointing his exact location at all times. Toph could never even get close to Superman if she wanted to. And that's not even the silver-age Superman we're talking about. Superman from the silver-age was beyond broken, and could literally do anything you could imagine. He has basically eaten Kryptonite at one point.
Toph stands no chance, even if Superman is holding back. Superman lifts planets for training, travels faster than the speed of light, and is able to see (and react to) things that are traveling faster than the speed of light. Like I said, Toph would be able to dent Superman's ego a bit, but she won't be able to do much else.
The only way I see Superman losing, is if he just didn't fight. There's no way Toph WOULD form a threat to anyone (she could, but she wouldn't), so Superman would just take the beating. There's nothing that needs saving, so there is no need for him to fight.

They tried that in one of the Batman/Superman issues. Three of the Legion of Superheroes villains screwed with the timeline to try and conqueror the universe (by raising Batman and Superman as their sons) and during the course of it, Superman gets stabbed through the heart with a sabre made of kryptonite. It gets pulled out one panel later and he's no worse for the wear.

Yeah, folks like to think that Kryptonite and Magic are instant win buttons against Superman, but they're really not (unless the writer wants them to be). I think the fight between Toph with Kryptonite against Superman would be adorable though. A quick blast of heat vision to vaporize the rocks and then Toph swinging ineffectually as Superman holds her by the scruff of her neck and chides her about not playing around in serious matter like that.

That's not true at all. While Superman is a pretty good example of a High Herald tier character, there are plenty of characters in all of fiction, and even in his own universe no less, who would pull majority wins in a fight against him or outright stomps. It's just that no one from either the Avatar or Dragon Ball universes fall on that list. No reason to get in a huff over that than getting angry that Batman or Captain America couldn't beat Avatar Aang or Krillian without massive prep time.
