Felt like it was time to make another engine from The Barrow In Furness Rail Museum and this time, it's their A4 Pacific, Doncaster!

While his brother Spencer may be arrogant and full of himself at times, Doncaster is much more humbled and down to earth. After being purchased from the LNER after the Second World War, he spent a majority of his career as a private engine much like Spencer up until 1994 when his owner's family could no longer afford to keep him and he spent five years locked up in a shed until 1999 when he was found by the owner of the Barrow Museum (Boris Jefferson) and has lived there pulling rail excursions as well as enthusiasts specials to show what it was like to ride behind the A4 back in the days of the LNER.
