This day has been very eventful indeed. When we got back to Tidmouth Sheds, we found Delilah, Philip, Ryan, and the Scottish twins standing outside the sheds. The reason why is because while we were investigating the shunting yards, they found another survivor, that being the only yellow express engine on the North Western Railway. It was Rebecca, she was in rough shape. She had several scratches all over her front, a few bruises on her face, and a cut on her right cheek. Her crew Melissa and Jane were alright though they had a few bandages on their arms and legs. I asked Melissa what happened to them and Rebecca, this is their story. Rebecca was taking the express as Gordon was away at the Steamworks for routine maintenance, the run was going smoothly throughout most of the journey. They thundered pass Crosby station blowing a friendly whistle to Emily, who was there with her local train, but just as they were approaching Elsbridge junction, it happened. The sirens began to blair loudly, followed by the sound of a beam, and then a demonic roar. As soon as Rebecca and her crew saw the sky turn red, they immediately picked up speed as the passengers began to panic. They shot pass Elsbridge whistling a warning to Thomas who was there with Annie and Clarabel, they don't know what happened to the blue tank engine, all they were focused on was getting the passengers to Knapford for their safety. Rebecca blasted pass Tidmouth station and thundered through Henry's tunnel at top speed, but as they were approaching Knapford, that was when the trouble began. Rebecca's brakes had failed and she began to slip once again, Melissa could see that they had been switched to one of the bay platforms and knew that they wouldn't be able to stop in time. Jane then applied the tender brakes to help slow the train down while Melissa signaled for the guard in the brake coach to apply the brakes in his compartment which he did. The express was slowing down, but it wasn't enough to stop Rebecca from plowing into the platform and into the booking office. That was the last thing Rebecca remembered as she was knocked out from the crash, while she was out cold, Melissa, Jane, the guard, a few by standers, and workmen help to get the express passengers to the hospital. Some were alright while others only had a few cuts and bruises. After the passengers were taken away, Melissa and Jane surveyed the wreckage of their engine, most of the damage had been inflicted to Rebecca's front. It's a miracle that the damage wasn't too severe. When Rebecca finally came to, she heard some engines raced by her and she thought she heard one of them crying out for help as their screaming and puffing faded into the distance. It wasn't until after we left to check out the aftermath of the shunting yards when Donald and Douglas decided to head over to the station to see if any engines were there when Rebecca was rescued, the Scottish twins wasted no time and set about helping to get Rebecca out of the wreckage. Douglas found a breakdown crane in the yards which helped in the rescue operation and after what seem like hours, Rebecca was pulled free from the wreckage. The Yellow Pacific was still upset that she caused harm to her passengers, but we all reassured her that they are alright. We then told them about our findings at the shunting yards and what we learned from the engines there about the attack. They were glad that the others were alright, but they were sad to hear what had happened to Stafford and worried that Molly and Stanley would come back. I've already marked Stafford dead in the back of my journal. We're going to be spending the night at Tidmouth Sheds as for right now we want to focus on making sure Rebecca is in good shape to move so we can get her to the Steamworks.
