Ever since it appeared in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Message in a Bottle," the U.S.S. Prometheus has maintained a status as a fan-favorite thanks to its unique "multi-vector assault mode."With the release of the Hestia-class T6 Advanced Escort, I wanted to also update the canon model for the Prometheus in Star Trek Online. Like the Akira, the original STO model was accurate in its overall shapes, but was lacking in a lot of details. I focused my efforts on cleaning up the surface details and creating new hull and escape pod materials to better reflect the look of the ship as seen on Voyager.

That shape is a great improvement for Starfleet. Shapes like Emissary, or Vesta, or the like, they are all nothing more than flying spoons.
Instead of a saucer, that spear head makes it look much more intimidating. And the four nacelles add a great deal of symmetry that Starfleet lacked.
In all honesty, Starfleet needs to start taking lessons from Jem'Hadar, and start building triangular ships.
