Hanako has been in love with Akechi since middle school and even followed him to whichever school he went to;
she was extremely shy and could never voice her feelings or show him direct affection ( she tended to do things to make his life easier; sort of like "oh there just happened to be an apple on my desk" sort of thing )
though Akechi knew of her as the two were friends
though she often hid herself in the background;
she ended up saving him from death ( following the events of the game ) and the two basically ran away together
