400 years ago occurred a period of glaciation on the planet Thalar. The inhabitants of the planet, The Thalar'Kai, were reduced to less than 20% due to the abrupt climate change, famines, disease and wars between surviving nations that follow. Reduced to control a part of the equator of the planet. The remaining Thalar'Kai built a series of robots as a workforce, and for company. The syntethics were given emotions, Thalar'Ani-like shape and, of course, resistances to extreme temperatures, especially cold.

As time passed the synthetic population or Thalar'Ani as they began to be called, continued to grow due to the demand in the construction sector, but Thalar'Kai organics were stagnant, permanently affected by the biosphere changes.

A plague called the "purple flu" decimated the remaining organics. Only few hundred survivors manage to enter on cryostasis vacuums as a last resource to avoid extintion. They gave two orders to their robotic companions. These will become the "raison d'etre" of the newly founded Nexus and their leader, Abacus.

1. Find a cure for the purple flu.
2. Maintain the legacy of the Thalar civilization alive.
