When Yui was a young girl, she would see Ms Stretcher swinging from building to building and fighting bad guys in the central city. She wanted to grow up to be just like her. After an incident in her school's science fair, she somehow gained her powers similar to her hero from super speed to elasticity, Ms Stretcher felt that it was her fault that she was unable to prevent this incident but Yui didn't see this as a burden but more as her destiny as her dream finally came true. While Ms Strecher was reluctant at first, Yui's enthusiasm convinced her to take the girl under her wing and trained her in the art of elastic heroism. After she surpassed her mentor, Yui became the elastic superheroine codenamed Yo-Yo Lady. Even after growing into her own heroine, Yui still sees Ms Stretcher as her mentor / big sister figure.
