Capatin Jack Sparrow. One of the most memorable pirates I have ever seen with my eyes.Β
Now where can I begin: the details are brilliant. There is nothing wrong with the shadings.Β His arms, unfortunately, look a little on the thin side. You could have made them a little thicker. But that's just me. You got the eyes right 'though the left one is smaller than the other. But that doesn't affect the picture as a while.Β The left side of his upper lip makes his mouth a little awkward to look at, but again it doesn't affect the picture as a whole.Β
Apart from those I see no other 'mistakes'. Everything else is alright.Β
I'll gave this picture an 8.5/10.Β

Again, another one of those old drawings, I need to go over this since it seems to catch a lot of people's eyes. Drawing the face is still something I have so much trouble with, especially the lips! I even bought a book "Drawing the head and figure" to brush up on those skills. Thanks again for another great feedback, if there's anything I could do to help you, let me know. Much appreciated sir.

You're welcome.Β
And I'll remember it. If you want you can take a look at my stories. A lot of people seem to like them. Though, I'm not confident enough to say that I'm THAT good. Don't need to get a massive ego after all.

Really nice work, perhaps if you were a bit more ambitious and tried darkening it and added a bit more shading it would look like an actual photograph ^^

For a sketch, you got in a good amount of detail. I would, in your shoes, widen the range of shades here. You have white incorporated into the picture as the lightest area - that's good. I'd like to see some darker shades though (maybe even black!). Being that I am not a student of two-dimensional drawing, my area of greatest expertise being in art history, I can not offer any feedback on anything but the effectiveness of a vast range. If you would benefit from doing a light study, so be it, but I recommend, in that case, that you focus on light only, and let the details kind of 'fall in' as you depict the darkest darks to lightest lights.
