yes, I find BoFA trully heartbreaking and I have established a headcanon that it really was Dwalin carrying Thorin's body from Ravehill! and just this weekend I've read that Graham McTavish said first-that he can't tell what was Dwalin doing after Fili's death because we are gonna see it in extended cut and second-that his very last shot was 'seeing Richard die'!!

Yes, yes, I so needed to do this after the BoFA premiere to express all the feels! Now after watching the EE I'm actually finding myself keen on the idea to stitch a picture from the funeral(it's ghoulish, right? but...dunno, a friend of mine when I told her asked 'and you could stitch THAT? and I was like 'uhm...yes, I feel like making just this')

Hmm, no, I don't think it's ghoulish. I'm thinking about writing a story about the ritual of preparing Thorin's body for burial and how Bilbo would be part of it, as a last gesture of friendship. Now, THAT would be ghoulish! I look forward to seeing your funeral piece, if you make it. I just thought Thorin still looked so beautiful, and so peaceful. That is worth stitching

I once read a fanfic where Kili(yes, there both Fili and Kili survived, but Fili was seriously wounded) was helping Oin to wash Thorin's body for the funeral and it was rather moving. And yes, Thorin looked so handsome and peaceful, and so 'above everything' cos nothing could touch him anymore-I was kinda pissed off with the 'the king is dead-long live the king' end of the scene but nothing of it could touch him anymore...

have you watched the BoFA extras? there was a bit more to the funeral scene with what they called eulogy from Gandalf(you'd probably came over that on tumblr, it was that 'the king had come unto his own....') I wasn't impressed when I found it on tumblr but I could confess it at leasted sounded quite moving spoken from Ian McKellen tho still I would expect something else from an eulogy. anyway, someone here suggested me an e-shop where you can upload a pic, it show you a preview and if you are satisfied you can get anything from a pdf pattern to a whole kit, so I tried few things and OMG look at their version! I'm gonna get the pattern(in the new credit card bill ) it's simply stunning!! sta.sh/0own24ti4uy I would do the pattern on the blanket with golden thread!

You should suggest to the framer lady, that she should actually clean her glasses, once in a while.

Well, I simply can´t believe that this person didn´t replied to your FB message, on purpose. Who could say no to that offer? I guess, he or she hasn´t read it, yet. Sometimes, I got messages on FB, which weren´t shown in my inbox and months later I found out, that they were there, somewhere between others.

Once, I was thinking about how well it's turning out and I started wonder if I should be selfish and keep it or if it wouldn't be better it it could go and please someone else too-after I had my fun with doing it-and I once was giving away the Thorin portrait on black fabric via fb and actually two women claimed interest in getting it so I sent it to the first one and promised the other one I will make her another Thorin portrait later, and I suddenly realized what all I'm gonna do for other people so she might never get it-or after some years when she might not be interested in him anymore, so I somehow decided I will offer her this Dwalin/Thorin pic if she'd want it-I confess it's not a 'common portrait thing'. so I wrote her (two) fb messages and never got a reply. Now you telling me I just out of curiosity wrote her on her timeline if she got the messages-despite I wouldn't probably give this one away anymore but I would explain to her and will make her one-later.

Ah, so that´s how it was.
Damn, you are (if I may say it), one of these people which are to kind for this world. I mean, I would never, ever give away a stitched picture, of a character I like. 
I´d be selfish as hell, while I usually not that kind of person.
But you take your time, stitch these pretties and give them away to people, just like that just to make someone else happy. 
That´s a great thing to do, really.

aww thank you!! no I wasn't at the con, I've read these things on tumblr but I'm glad it's true! I was so sad that Thorin sacrificed himself and the dwarves didn't even get to say goodbye to him I just...for me Bilbo doesn't really count somehow anyway I really thought at least Dwalin should have been there.
