this a female Kestrel? Because I'm on FFA for Fish and Wildlife and our Kestrel is in shades of blue-gray and rust colors. I know the male has the colors i just stated but our female does not look like this. body shape is right but the colors seem really pale.
is this an American Kestrel? or another species?

I think it's a female and probably a European Kestrel, since I found it in Europe...

He's very beautiful, and you had the luck to photograph him in a natural environment. I could only take shots of some of them in a sort-of-bird-zoo, it's not the same feeling at all.

I love cooperative animals too. There was one at a zoo I visited in Hawaii (it was a toucan), every time we took a photo it would change to another position but it would still be looking at us. It started to cry when we left, the poor thing was in a tiny cage down a little alley, all alone.
