You, sir, simply must take your art and do magnificent things with it. I am tempted to have you do Science Fiction Book Illustrations, video game World Concept Planning, and creating a series of Art Books.

This is fabulous, stupendous even. Your reflection of the colors in the sky off the water is... *Insert your favorite term of wonder*. And again you amaze with your control of depth and color selection. I would have to say that Light is your tool to use with a mastery that is rarely seen on DeviantArt. *Shakes head* I truly hope you use all of this talent for something incredible.

Thanks mate, I hope to go some place with art, but compared to alot of other people I am merely just another artist barely worthy of being apart of deviantart.

You say this as if the unwashed hordes of the internet did not commonly make this site their home. While there are many truly stunning artists on DA, there are also those who are not. And you, and comfortably moving your way up through the ranks.

The biggest thing with DA though, is perhaps the most annoying. It doesn't always matter how good your artwork is, or how detailed, or even how sensible. It seems that just like any social basin for humanity, POPULARITY drives the masses. I've seen galleries with hundreds of thousands of pageviews for art that I would guess took them minutes, not hours, and jokes so commonly used that they were wearing thin in places.

Don't let page views or comments form your opinions, really. What's most important is if you are having fun when you create your art, if you are glad to see the creations your hands have made, then keep going. Because eventually someone will stumble across it who sees all that you put into it, and they'll be blessed by that.

Ok I will make sure to rememeber that, and just for the record I always have fun creating artwork, and enjoy every minute of it.

As cool as the rocks are - I love that sky.

Think about moving your little dude to the plateau above him though. It will create a nice focal point up there as well as following the 'rule' of thirds.

Ok I followed your advice and I added some more birds to make the painting more peaceful. Does it look good now?

I just saw it over at Sijun and thought "WOW, that was quick". I think it looks great, the guy is much more a part of the painting and creates a nice focal point. The birds are a great touch too.

More importantly though, what do you think of it now?
