+ Faithful-  Though he has a hard time accepting others as friends, or at least voicing it and truly admitting it, Aylin isn't one to betray someone who has truly gained his trust. His Pokemon are a testament to that, he's never traded them off despite the offers or his own desparation, and he's suffered to keep them safe. When he truly admits to himself that someone is more important than just some stranger willing to offer the likes of him the time of day, when he realizes they care about him on a deeper level than just another 'living person', Aylin will be faithful and stand for them no matter those around him

+ Hard-working - Despite how he can be, Aylin has the desire to do what is right, and has always been a hard worker. Though he can act lazy, he puts forth a lot of effort to get the job done, even if it leaves him exhausted day in and day out.

+ Selfless- Though he's swindled people out of hard earned money, talked his way into people's wallets, Aylin hasn't truly done any of these crimes solely for himself. His focus has always been for someone else, his Sister, Astra, or any of the other Pokemon he's gained. He's forced them back into their Pokeballs to keep them out of conflict, though he's been quickly punished by Astra for doing so and outwitted by them at times so they can stay and fight. In truth, when he does almost anything it's never for his own self interest, it's for the sake of someone else, even if it's just to buy them a moment of happiness.

- Hypocrit -  Aylin has gone through a lot, but he knows where his own sins lie most of the time. He'll quickly suggest not doing something bad, tell people how bad it is and that it won't get them anywhere, yet he'll be the one to do just that. His reasoning to himself is that he's already taken that path, he's already suffered it, they don't need to start it. Keep trying and be hopeful, something he failed at doing years ago and is finally giving it another chance.

- Suspicious- People haven't really been the nicest in his life, and those that have often held ulterior motives for their kindness. Because of this, most who approach Aylin first are granted his conartist side. Confident, friendly, outgoing, and manipulative in his own way. Those that have, or show a kindness without the chance to gain anything in return confuse him and, in all honesty, scare him. She was strong, resilient, confident, and brave, standing up for him when others tried to pick on him. Almost complete opposites personality wise, he tried to do what he could not to be a burden, only to be scolded for not telling her what was wrong earlier. They never knew their Father and their Mother worked at a bar, struggling to make ends meet. She one day brought home a dirty Eevee, claiming that a trainer had dropped the poor thing off and never came back for it, and offering the Pokemon to her children if they'd take care of the Eevee. Accepting, the twins obtained a shiny Eevee they named Astra, not knowing fully the implications of a shiny Pokemon or how rare they were. Life was a little difficult, but life was humble, and his sister was his greatest friend. However, life took a turn for the worst when his Mother didn't return home one day, instead three men did and they demanded payment on a debt.

A deal was struck in Aylin's desire to protect his sister and Astra from the men's greed, passing a test their boss assigned to him, and becoming their new Salesman and errand boy. At first he just helped making the trinkets and delivering packages in a timely manner, till he was soon selling the trinkets and climbing the ladder to where he had someone in debt working under him. Arguments became a common occurrence at the house between him and his sister: She was disappointed and upset he'd become a criminal just for money, and he'd point out that the ledgers confirmed he'd made more of a dent in their debt than their Mother ever had with her 'honest work. There were times she'd strike him in frustration and anger, and he'd leave in a huff. Even so, she never called the cops on him, and he never struck her back. He'd been beaten, stabbed, and even shot in a few deals gone wrong. Aylin would always try to keep such dealings away from the place he called home, and he'd always try to hide Astra whenever he dealt with unsavory customers. Though he changed to better deal with his new life, Aylin was still terrified every day, he was still a crybaby, and he never really used the extra money he could stash away for himself.

He had no true friends during such times, none aside from his sister, Astra, and the Pokemon he gained over the years, as most humans held ulterior motives he learned about the hard way. Even if he was scarred, injured, if she was alright then his sister would have someone to turn to. When he overheard his new boss talking about how his sister had come of age, his heart stopped and he fled home, hoping to get there first before there was any trouble. All the money he'd saved back, every dime, he stashed into her bag with a note without her knowing. He then managed to piss her off that day, done on purpose to run her off, watching as she slammed the door on her way out. Astra refused to leave his side unfortunately, so in the pain that followered after that day, they both suffered.

Within the years that followed he made nearly managed to pay off the debt his family had incurred, though one customer decided she wasn't gonna let him get away with swindling her. She chased him down, she managed to catch him, and she cornered him. This woman became an 'acquaintance', Aylin not wanting to consider her a friend, yet she found him time and time again due to the infatuation her shiny Umbreon had with Astra. Such a connection became his saving grace one cold night, robbed and left for dead as he held his throat, Astra managing to get free. When he awoke in the hospital, he was shocked that she was there and listened to her talk about a region called Lera, and that a change of place would do him good. She left in time and, when he recovered, he went home to see it trashed. The false ID he'd been given for his criminal work was the last true connection he held, placing it down and taking the only picture he had of him and his family. He left Castelia City, jumping on a boat as one last criminal act, and heading off to Lera with the few friends he did make.
