Hi guys!

Release of Zero Escape 3 aka Zero Time Dilemma is approaching (= 28th June) and I have never been so excited about a game before! D8 Operation Bluebird also had an art contest and this was my entry. This WAS supposed to be my entry for Thank You Zero Escape -fan appreciation project, but there was a thunderstorm just before deadline and you can guess what happened. My final piece was gone, so I had to use my previous ZE-art of Phi, Sigma and a finnish seal for the project. So in the end, I had to redraw this piece and ended up doing it in a hurry for the art contest, so it's a bit different and not as polished as it was originally. On the other hand, doing this piece again gave me needed practice for digital drawing and drawing faces and facial expressions, because it's the main point. I think that Tenmyouji's wrinkles succeeded quite well considering that I didn't use any reference for them. D:

I was surprised how emotional the making process was. The longer I drew, the worser I felt. I feel so sorry for Junpei and it manifested when drawing Tenmyouji's expression and wrinkles as I had to pause drawing occasionally. I wanted to picture how Junpei changed from his innocent and naive youth to discouraged and cynical Tenmyouji. So I used basic opposites: Youth and oldness, light and dark, bright upward and glazed downward gaze, right signifying the future and left the past... Young Junpei out enjoying the weather (probably with Akane), unaware of the future and Tenmyouji trapped in dark Ambidex Room, forced to make a decision of life and death.
