Description

The forest that was usually filled with happiness seemed quiet and empty. The eight of us were walking through the forest. The eight of us were walking through the forest on our way back to the base, the place of our deaths. After telling the others about the vision I had seen about us all getting killed, my friends had agreed that they would come, even if it meant death. "So," I said, breaking the unnerving silence that had engulfed us, "What do you guys think will happen? "I think we'll all get killed," Jacob muttered under his breath. "So what?," Light said, "I believe in us. Maybe we will all live." "I agree!," I said.

Just then, Blaze hissed, "Get down!" Immediately doing as I was told, I ducked down behind a bush. "What's going on?," I whispered to Blaze, who was hiding behind a nearby tree. "Look," he whispered back. He pointed one of his claws straight ahead. Looking where his claw was pointed, I saw two Pokextinction guards positioned outside the entrance to the base. "Why does Cameron always post two guards outside the entrance?," I whispered, "You think that by now he would have learned his lesson." "Villains almost never learn Tad," Greg whispered, readying his water shurikens. Jumping from out of the bush he was hiding in, Greg threw his shurikens at the guards. They noticed them a second too late. The impact of the shurikens knocked them both unconscious. "We're in," Greg said, standing up. "Then let's go in!," Jeremy exclaimed. He was about to walk into the base, when Light picked him up by the fur around his collar (By this, I mean the collar bone). "Hey!," he exclaimed, trying to escape Light's claws, but to no avail. "We can't go running in there!," Light said, putting him down, "We need a plan." "Technically, running in there without a plan is a plan," I said, laughing. Jacob facepalmed. "True," Blaze said, "But we need the element of surprise." "Screw the element of surprise!," Jeremy yelled, as he, once again, tried to run into the base. This time, I grabbed him. "Oh, come on!," he yelled, crossing his arms. "What if we called the commander of the PRT for this base?," I suggested, "He or she could help us! So could the rest of this base's PRT!" Blaze scratched his head. "Uh yeah," he said, "About that. I have a confession to make. I AM the PRT commander for this base." "WHAT?," yelled everyone except Greg. "Why didn't you tell us before?," Katelyn asked. "I couldn't," he said, "I'm one of those Pokeumans who tells others major things until I know I could trust them. I needed to know I could trust you guys, and after all we've been through together, I think I can trust you six." "But what about you Greg?," Zoey asked. "Blaze and I have known eachother for a really long time. He told me to keep this secret when I was about to trust him, and because we were friends, I had to keep this promise." "Well," I said, "If we have the PRT leader here, we are pretty much screwed. We can't contact the rest of the base now." "Then I guess we need to storm the base," Jacob said, readying his claws. "Does this mean...?," Jeremy asked. "Yes," I sighed, "Lead the way." Ashley jumped onto her brother's back and shouted, "FOR THE BASE!", and they ran into the entrance of the base. "Wait for me!," I yelled, running after them.

The paths of the base were being walked down back and forth by the Pokextinction troops that were guarding the area. "Okay," I whispered, "Follow me." I waited for a guard to pass by before slipping into a building. The others slowly followed me into the same building. "Come on," I said as another guard passed by, allowing us to pass by undetected. I rushed across the path, diving into the bushes. When the others managed to get to where I was, Katelyn whispered to me, "Where did you learn to sneak like that? You're like a ninja or something!" "I'm right here you know!," Greg whispered. "Well," I said, confidently, "I HAVE seen every episode of Ninjago." "You ruined it man," Jacob said, facepalming once again. I frowned. "Okay," Blaze said, "There's the school. It's obviously going to be heavily guarded." "I'll just ninja my way in!," I whispered. "I'm a freaking Greninja you know!," Greg hissed, "It's in my name! Gre-NINJA!" "Let's just go," I whispered, sneaking to the school entrance. Checking out the area, I made sure that no one was around. Once I made sure the coast was clear, I opened to doors and signaled for my friends to come.

"It's weird seeing the school this empty," I said, trying my best to make sure that my voice didn't echo. "It won't be empty for long," Ashley said. Just then, my ears twitched as I picked up the sound of a voice. "I hear Cameron," I whispered, "He's in the auditorium with what sound like the rest of the base." "Then that's where we're going!," Katelyn said. I rushed down the school corridor with my friends following close behind. I stopped at the doors to the auditorium. I put my ear on the door and listened in to what Cameron was saying.

"Rule #245: If my stupid brother is seen around here, he is to be brought straight to me.

Rule #246: Any picture of him must have a stupid looking cartoony mustache on him."

"Okay," I growled, "That son of a Blastoise (See what I did there?) has gone too far now!" "What did he do?," Blaze asked, "Did he place heavy taxes on the base?" "Did he kill my family?," Light said, clenching his paws. "Did he kill my brother?," Katelyn said. "Even worse," I said, "He made sure that every single picture of me had a big cartoony mustache drawn on it!" "Really man?," Greg said. "Sorry," I said, "Okay, this is my plan. Behind the stage is the backstage area, obviously. There, I'm going to climb the ladder that leads to the catwalks above the stage. Once I'm behind there, I will slowly sneak up behind him and attack. Got it?" "You got it!," Light said, following me to the door labeled "Backstage". I opened the door and crept in. I walked through the curtains and onto the stage. I noticed the look of surprise in the Pokeumans that were in the audience. Quickly, I held one of the digits of my paw up to my mouth, telling the audience to be quiet. Most of them nodded, which didn't seem strange, as Cameron had just asked a stupid question. When I was right behind him, I tapped his shoulder. "What?," he growled, "Who's disturbing-" His look of anger changed into a look of shock when he saw me. "Hello brother!," I exclaimed, "I have a gift for you!" Then, I punched him in the face. He fell to the ground in pain, cringing. A cheer rose up from the crowd as I stood up triumphantly. However, I didn't notice Cameron reach into his cloak and pull out a gun. "Tad!," Blaze yelled, "Watch out!" Without thinking about his own safety, Blaze dove behind me. The next few minutes seemed to go in slow motion. I turned around to see Cameron holding the gun and aiming it at me. I watched in horror as he pulled the trigger, and the bullet was shot out of the gun. Blaze dove in front of me, shielding me from the bullet. His body fell to the ground as blood gushed out from the bullet hole in his chest. "Blaze!," I exclaimed, kneeling down, "Are you okay?" Blaze coughed up blood and smiled. "You were a great friend Tad," he said. "Don't say that," I said, tearing up, "You can't die." "Your vision said we would," he said smiling, "And I knew that if I was going to die today, it would be protecting you." "No," I sobbed. "Tad," Blaze said, "Goodbye." With that, he closed his eyes and stopped breathing. Just then, a Pikachu walked onto the stage. "Allow me," he said, charging up his electricity before yelling "CLEAR!" He sent a large Thunderbolt at Blaze. Rushing to his side, I checked Blaze for a heartbeat. "Please let there be one," I whispered to myself, "Please Arceus, let there be one." Bum-Bum. Bum-Bum. Bum-Bum. "HE'S ALIVE!," I exclaimed. I was about to thank the Pikachu when I felt my head getting hit with a frying pan. Before I blacked out, I heard Cameron say, "Don't worry, this will all end soon."
