Description So... Jeff. Yup. Anyone who knows about CreepyPasta should know Jeff, I think. That's why Slenderman's jump in popularity bugs me, I think I've found a kindred spirit, and then they go "Who's Jeff the Killer?" or "Who's Eyeless Jack?"

Oh well.

STORY TIME! While I was drawing the original sketch at school, a girl looked over my shoulder and asked why the girl I was drawing had a crazy smile and a knife. I yelled at her "Jeff is not a girl!" and choked on my mint. I then proceeded to tell her to not sleep that night, or she was likely to get stabbed. Somebody else thought I was drawing L from Death Note. I can see that, and I was less offended... But still... Dammit Jeff, get a haircut! (please don't stab me)

Sometimes, I really do wish that the other Creepypasta villains had more exposure. I mean, BEN DROWNED was pretty popular for a while, and Zalgo was also pretty infamous for a time. None of them have reach a status as that of Slenderman...
My only hope is that the other creatures in the Slenderman Mythos (like Totheark and KindVonDerRitter) get more exposure in the up-coming Slenderman games.

For a long while one of my friends insisted Zalgo was a Lovecraft entity. I wikipediaed it, and photocopied my dad's copy of Deities and Demigods to prove him wrong. Creepypasta does not equal Lovecraft.

And I hope so too, I have nobody at school to talk to about Creepypasta, even though they all know Slenderman. And I started watching Marble Hornets! I'm scared now.

Zalgo as inspired by Lovecraftian deities. Keyword: INSPIRED. He's is for a fact LovecraftIAN, he just wasn't made by lovecraft. Kinda like Hastur, except a bit more obscure.

Have you seen any of the other Slenderman ARGs like DarkHarvest00 and EverymanHYBRID? They're pretty good. DarkHarvest00 has a proxy that terrifies me even more so then Masky (Totheark) does.

No I haven't, Masky... I've only seen him a few times with where I am in Marble Hornets. I got the power of suggestion working against me recently, so I'm taking a break.
Zalgo... Zalgo is a modern Lovecraftian deity, much like my own Holtau and Ka-Lakiim. Hastur was at least contemparary, and appears in the wikipedia list.

Now that I think about it... I need to catch up on what's happened. I remember watching the Original series, but recently both Marble Hornets and Totheark have been releasing new videos, same with DarkHarvest00... I guess there's a resurgence going on with Slenderman videos. How if only we could have a truly great series about The Rake, Smile.dog, Eyeless Jack or some other creepypasta creature. I mean, come on! There's so much that can be done!

I honestly don't know as much as I want to about Creepypasta. I'll know names from artwork, but not full background stories, but I have to agree, Slendy's great and all, but the other guys gotta get some love too.
