I don't like SHIELD's modern logo-I can't put my finger on why, I just think it doesn't look good. I do like the historical SHIELD logo, so I made one based off of that design.

I added 'United States of America' across the bottom to sell that SHIELD (at least in the context of this art) is an American agency. I also changed the name; SHIELD's meaning as an acronym has varied over the years with the current meaning being 'Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division.' I feel that this current meaning is far too vague for SHIELD's stated goal of protecting America from unusual threats, so I made a name that combines elements from a few past iterations of SHIELD's name and more precisely describes SHIELD's mandate.
