In my art lessons we're doing a personal project on an artist of our choice and I've chosen Alan Lee to research and find inspiratuon from...which is an excuse for me to draw fantasy and Lord of the Rings art
I get to practise realism and water colours more as well 
I would have liked the paper to not have wrinkled or the clothes look messy 
I know, I'm sorry it's copied from a screen shot but I'm going to attempt some original, realistic LotR illustrations after I've practised a bit more

This is beautiful! Can you draw a picture of Elrond holding Arwen as a newborn? I've always wanted to see a picture like that, but I can't find one. Do you think you could draw one for me?

Beautiful work. I can't use watercolors for the life of me, so seeing pieces like this is always great. Nice job with the folds of clothing and texture. Also the lighting effects are very well done. Excellent.

It's very beautiful. And to make the paper not wrinkle, you need to soak the page in water and then stable, or tape it to a table, or other hard surface. Can't wait to see more!

The scene and characters r instantly recognizable, and the water cloring is great! Doesnt look messy at all, and the wrinkles somehow add a niCe effect!

If you dont want your paper to wrinkle, use paper thats in a block (I recommend D'Arches, great stuff). Or, you can soak your paper in water, let it flatten on a board, then tape the sides, and itll dry smooth and it wont wrinkle when you use it.

Yeah I used to have the same problems, then in my very many bookstore wanderings, I opened up a Watercolour for Beginners book, and there was the solution! Im sure you can find lots of other tips on the internet as well.
Sigh. I love watercolour, such a fun medium.
