There is so much stuff in FF7 which makes it sooooooo good (and IMO best FF) and the Tifa and Aeris friendship is one of them. I remember thinking at the time "it's so refreshing to see female characters who are good friends for once". Seriously in most genres the female characters are usually so bitter and bitchy to one another and as female myself, this REALLY pisses me off! I mean God forbid if female characters are ever *gasp* FRIENDS!!!!! >
As for shippings I'm not going to lie...CLOTI & ZERIS FOR LIFE!!!!!

This is one thing the shippers fail to remember - Tifa and Aerith were friends. Both were kind, optimistic, motherly and forgiving. The biggest difference between them was that one was quite shy and reserved - the other very outgoing and upbeat.
Tifa was greatly saddened by Aerith's death - everyone on the team was.
But, if you recall - at the end of Advent Children, Aerith and Zack leave Cloud with a smile - obviously wanting him to move on with his life.

Do the people commenting remember that Aerith and Tifa were best friends in FFVII? TifaXCloud had been around longer in the story line, since Tifa liked Cloud since they were kids.

I just love it when people draw Aerith and Tifa together. I always thought that their relationship was a sisterly. I never thought Tifa hated Aerith or vice versa. I think Tifa might have been jelelous of Aerith but nothing more.

I don't think they hated each other. I think there was definate friendship between them both but I do believe they regarded each other as rivals where Cloud is concerned but still I believe they found a common ground.

I feel like what is depicted in this drawing is more like love then simple friendship, but maybe it's just me. I've always loved them both equally, and I enjoy seeing them as a couple X3...But, anyway...Nice picture! It's really sweet...
