Changes needed: Outfit more traveler in style (rest of outfit fine but simpler garb, boots need to be fixed but would like to keep similar appearance, sword simpler, i guess more hobo-ish since he has been on his own since 16), red eyes, tattoo on chin akin to "bleeding tear" of sheikah.
Allegiance is good

Occupation: Swordsman/Good Samaritan
Birthplace: Hidden Village
Residence: Traveler
Personality: Cocky, narcissistic, brave, has a good heart, hard worker, irrational at times, likes to show off
Goal: To become a better swordsman and be appreciated for his talents. This way he doesn't have to go back to his true heritage for inspiration. Also helping others in general (aka more showing off).
Other: Thinks he's the best at using weapons and with combat in general. He understands tactics enough to follow through with basic ones. He has a hard time working with teams because of his own ego but is extremely loyal to those he has befriended. Believes using weapons shows real strength rather than magic alone. Tries to be reasonable upon meeting. Usually tries to hide his irritation with others and appears calm at first.

History:
Dryst was born into a family of general laborers within the Hidden Village. His father did various jobs quite happily and his mother often helped with food gathering and farming. It was quite a surprise to them both that they were having a child let alone a son and they spoiled him from the very beginning. They hoped that he would achieve great things, often telling him of great successes from sheikah history. From a young age Dryst became engrossed with well known leaders of his village, heroes, weapons, and the idea of rising through the ranks to one day become the village leader. He found himself often looking at those training to become something the village needed instead of where his parents worked.
At a young age it was obvious that the boy had his mind set on getting a better "life" than his parents. Both his mother and father supported his desires and did their best to help. Though he had large magical potential, he was fascinated with melee weapons -swords in particular- and techniques to overwhelm the enemy. The young sheikah picked up on the techniques quite quickly alongside some minor magical skill known to most of the tribe. Even though he picked up the basics easily, more advance techniques were quite a challenge. Try as hard as he could, the boy couldn't keep up with the rest of his peers. He became frustrated and started to lash out at others often landing him in trouble and recieving punishments. The boy had reached his limits and couldn't get past his own issues to see this. No matter how he tended to approach the situation, he couldn't better himself.
Since Dryst's training was no longer going anywhere, members of the tribe tried to push him into a field much similar to his parents. His hard work always ended up showing even with his failures. The work was easy enough for him and he was actually quite proficient at it. However his happiness was all but gone. He found the jobs he was given useless and not really helping the tribe or himself. The resentment he had was clear as he went against what he was told. Dryst continued to practice his swordplay and other skills in attempts to still become a scout. Punishments continued as did his rebelious behavior. Even with all this going on, only slight improvement was shown in the combat techniques.
On his sixteenth birthday Dryst decided it was now or never that he got to make his point. He went out of his way to find one of the elders and challenged them to a duel. The elder he met was Charna who more or less agreed to help teach him a lesson. He believed their training was holding him back and that he could easily best an elder. Though he fought as hard as he could, Charna easily defeated him by sidestepping and avoiding all conflict save insulting him. His frustrations came to a boil and he let out all his withheld feelings towards the tribe, the elders, and even his parents. He blamed everyone else for all his faults and declared himself an exile to get away from those he felt were bad for him. Not even letting out his frustrations helped him.
Dryst wasn't that well informed on the rest of Hyrule as he thought himself to be upon his exile. He only had the sword he had taken and a small bag containing a few things he grabbed before quickly leaving. For the first couple of months he had a hard time figuring out where he was going and often used his traditional sheikah status as a way to get food and lodging. It worked for some time until he started to frequent places too often. His attitude also didn't help as he tended to lash out at others. Those people became suspicous and he picked up that he was just using them. He quickly realized this and stopped. The next year he spent trying to find places to be and live. His overall survival skills were minimal which led him to learn as he went. At one point he resorted to stealing but quickly gave that up as guilt started to eat at him. He returned what he had stolen and then some.
Over the years he eventually learned how to survive in Hyrule. He found no single place that he actually liked to stay and no one to actually help him perfect his sword skills. He still pushed himself to try and even started to offer himself as a sword for hire. He was choosy with his jobs but understood that he had to do work to gain money and live. His attitude still left him with many people wary of him but the sheikah has proven himself usable for work. He still wishes to become better at his sword technique and will continue to try.
Extra:
- Dryst has the advantage of knowing a lot of things the general population doesn't in terms of history of Hyrule due to once being part of the hidden village. At the same time, unlike a lot of the members of the sheikah tribe he has a lot of knowledge about how the general populace of Hyrule lives.
- He isn't against being a jerk to help someone learn a lesson and isn't afraid to be a bad guy.
