I just finished Pokemon Moon a few days ago...in the midst of my exams... ;DCharacters from left to right are Lillie, Gladion, Hau, and Guzma. I reallyy like Hau and Guzma, I think they did an especially amazing job with their character designs. Now time for a maybe unpopular (and unwanted?) opinion: I liked Lillie before she changed ;_; It seemed like they completely robbed her of her character, and made her into the generic, young, female Pokemon character. Regardless, these four (and Kukui) are all super awesome and I like them a lot.
Unfortunately, I feel like I totally butchered Hau in this piece ;_; Waaah. If anyone can see precisely where I messed up on his face, please do tell me.
On a side note, I tried drawing a tree again. They are my second greatest weakness (*cough cough*, this piece: Marinette Failed a Test ), so....I finally decided to use a tree reference LOL, should've done that ages ago. Isn't it mysterious how all of those leaves are floating around the tree, unattached to any branches? The laws of physics are present and ever-changing, indeed. Yup, definitely. I still have a long way to go with these weird tree things...

The lighting and the shading is so nice??? It's so smooth and perfect and so like.... aesthetic. It looks so soft. I want to pet it ;; I love the attention to detail in this, like with the clothes and the tree. Tbh I think the tree looks really neat o:

Your tree is definitely good!! like if you squint it looks super legit (which isn't a bad thing!) it means you got all the colors right and in the right spots! A challenge in itself. It just needs more fine-tuning :-] nice work <3 Also I still don't know much about pokemon but this is good! I like grumpy guy the best (guzma?) gosh your shading <3

Guzma's "why the fuck am I here" face is absolute gold. And Hau would totally be that guy who always gave other people bunny ears in a group shot.
And about Lillie - I have to agree. I would have enjoyed the game more if it were not for how she practically turned into a black hole for character growth while other enjoyable characters like Hau and (especially) Gladion were shunted almost completely out of the story.

And yeah, you understand what I thought while I was playing the game. Her character could've been handled much better, especially given the fact that the other characters were really well done. There were still some efforts to develop her character, at least "^^

Hopefully Ultra Sun/Moon will address this and let other characters shine a little brighter.
(Also hoping these same characters come back to Ultra SUMO in the first place. I'm already a little worried about the supposed "alternate storyline")

Ohhh my gosh this looks absolutely beautiful, the shading and the anatomy are just gorgeous~ I showed this to my sister and she got up and said "I wanna draw now" so you definitely are inspiring more than just me! Also I think that tree looks super pretty, you did a great job on it. >w< Keep up the fantastic work!

Guzma is my fave bad guy and the one I like the most from that nice drawing. You've done a great job in the drawing and capturing everyones character.
I liked Lilly before she changed too, its what endeared me to her character in the first place. I don't mind her now that she's brave and all, but still.

lol, I looove the concept behind her changing ('cause her mom was craycray and Lille couldn't establish her individuality) but I wasn't a huge fan of the execution~ like the whole speech she gave to her mom was so freaking cool, but in terms of how she changed herself, it kinda felt too sudden and unnatural to me XD and yeah, there's that too, although I loved that she was "being herself" I felt the character in itself fell a 'lil flat, into that generic category and actually preferred the old in the sense that it had a uniqueness to it ;D

YES YES INDEED, I DO AGREE VERY MUCH!!! Y'all took the words right out of my esophagus. That's one of the reasons why I preferred to draw Lillie in her old outfit. Maybe the producers felt they needed to make the change obvious since the game is targeted towards kids or something LOL. Regardless, she didn't change into a character who's unlikeable or anything so it's okay :'D

man. that tree is so nice. It's very painterly. taking basic drawing classes makes me appriciate backgrounds so much more.

Nah, I can understand how some people don't like it, but I personally saw that this was what Lillie would have LIKED to be, since her mom kept making her do what SHE wanted(dressing her up like UB-01), and whatnot. Best shown when she yells at her: "I am alive! Cosmog is alive! Children aren't just toys meant to be thrown away when you're bored of them! That's terrible, mother! YOU are terrible!" But everyone has their own opinion, i'm only giving my thoughts. :'D "XD I still super love the game!
Hau looks fine, IMO! This is an adorable piece!!

I guess I thought the change in her attitude was a bit stark, but it did show some good character development and whatnot now that you mention it.
