Well of course he was highly ranked, but at the time of my dan grading (june 2008) he was a 3rd Dan and therefor not a master but a senior instructor, much like the now Master David. Its a technicality but its also a fact.
Nothing irks me more then someone who claims to be a master when they are not. Its one of my very big pet hates after being in the Martial Arts industry for the past 14 years.
But since he became a 4th Dan, He is very much a Master.
Plus I didn't have an issue with Stuart being in the photos, its Sabanim Karina's issue. And being that she's Master John and Master Cheri's daughter and a mega talent in Gumdo, I wouldn't go messing with her. lol.

Ah i see what you mean. I was coming from the view that he was a senior instructor therefor over here we refer to him as master. But i agree with you, to be correct he was not officialy ranked as a master. (But hey its close enough)

sure. Gumdo, or Haidong Gumdo is a korean sword style. Its unlike any other style that is specific to sword I like Iado or Kendo) Think, samurai sword fighting in movies and it's something like that crossed with the kendo fighting. Its graceful and powerful and its an incredible workout just to top it all off.

Yeah sword style uniforms are always nicer. The Japanese styles have Hikama pants, but we just have really big and baggy ones.
