Here's what I did during my absence from school.

Well I had quite an interesting dream last night concerning this guy. Which is why I decided to draw him.
The name just comes from the song I was listening to "The Howling" By Within Temptation.

I considered expanding this guy from my dream and making him a character. A creature known as a howler,

known for their chilling and haunting songs in the night. A sound that could bring about a wave of illness over your body and make you feel afraid for no apparent reason other than the fact that you just heard the freakiest noise in your life.

I didn't use any references for this since... well.. it came from my dream. Everything that was put into this was pulled out of my brain.
It didn't look exactly like this in my dream I did throw some creative aspects onto it.
And some of it was based off of some things I saw here and there.

Like for example the eye being closer to the nose in front of the edge of the mouth came from someone I saw on iScribble one day drawing a shadow-tar wolf thing in that fashion.
Some of the back spikes and rotting ... hole... flesh.. were influenced by death pets on Verpets and several artists on here who use that style.

It's most heavily based off of my imagination so do not accuse me of style theft.
Like I said I used no refs. (I was going to put a skull on his head but I didn't feel like opening the internet to reference a skull. The internet being open slows down my photoshop.)
