Persephone is the goddess of underworld and daughter of Demeter and Zeus according to greek mythology.

If I might be of some help, there are a number of different and conflicting stories of Persephone. The 2 that seem to be in conflict here are Homer's Odyssey and Hesiod's Theogony.

Homer: "And come to the house of Hades and dread Persephoneia to seek sooth saying of the spirit of Theban Teiresias."

Hesiod: "Also he [Zeus] came to the bed of all-nourishing Demeter, and she bore white-armed Persephone whom Aidoneus (Hades) carried off from her mother . . . "

In Homer's version she is the daughter of Zeus and Styx; In Hesiod's version she is the daughter of Demeter and Zeus.

Obviously Tigersan's version is consistent with one and not the other. And, to be fair, the latter is a bit more popularized in modern culture.

In summary, there are two totally different Persephone myths: in one she is a dreaded queen of the underworld who commands as much if not more fear than Hades; in the other she is the fair maiden of spring, kidnapped and held against her will by her wicked husband.

not intending to start a flamewar here, but Persephone is not a mere goddess of the Underworld. You might want to know that the daughter of Demeter happens to be also the goddess of vegetation too. Maybe I got the flowers part wrong, but definitely she won't be quite that buff not to say that your work isn't excelent.

Yes but this is just the legend based on the fact that she was released from the underworld, to her mother and then
flora was sprouting, when she got back to underground it was winter but thats it, it doesnt say she was anything
else than goddes of underworld... And it says so EVERYWHERE you put persephone in search lol. Thats is my basis.

So what you are talking about is a legend that explains equinoxes as Persephone spent half year with Demeter
and half year with Hades. But everywhere you look they call her goddess of underground... Nyways its my take
on her and its pointless to discuss that... Thanks for your comments anyways!
