Quinta do Pisão Eco-Park – Sintra, Portugal
Quinta do Pisão, now part of the Sintra Protected Patrimony has spots of architectural and natural interest: the chapel, the threshing-floors, the stables or the ovens from the ancient 16th century village that existed here, called Casal de Porto Côvo, or even the mysterious Porto Côvo cave, used by primitive people as a necropolis.
A lot of work has been done to develop this area over the past couple of years, and these days you still have about 450 acres of beautiful and very varied landscape, where horses, donkeys, sheep, are raised and treated, as well as a wild fauna of some incredible eagles, snakes, etc... (Personally... I am not so sure about the snakes..... ....)
The Farm is used in the Summer, for 1 month, for ECO EXHIBITIONS in which artists from all over the world participate.
It is a very fascinating space with so many different paths, trails, ancient rods....
Quite unbelivable..... I was really happy to have made this discovery....
