the shading, it looks as if you only needed to do it once, if it were any better I'd say it were a 3d Render or something, I'd say the only thing really giving it away is the texture of the paper, great work!

thats the greatesterest fish head thing i've seen,
its kinda reminiscent of a victorian fish textbook illustration, the slight yellow hue to paper adds to that, erm or something
but fantastically shaded

Yieeeeee.. Very cool! The overall style is very interesting.. it looks very old.. Like this piece was unearthed from an ancient temple or something. . It probably has to be the combination of the drawing style, charcter design, and the simple fact that the canvas looks all old and worn. ^_^
