Description *sigh* now it's finished! It took me about 10 hours converting, tonemapping, stitching and stitch-error removing... and many cups of coffee
My third HDR panorama and it's bigger than everything I've created before! There might be some stitching errors left, so note me, if you found a big one (I'm exhausted, the lines are blurring ). Maybe next week I'll take a closer look and remove all the remaining small errors.

small edit: restitched the panorama, now it should be symmetrically
small edit 2: removed many small stitching errors (totally forgot to edit this entry )
small edit 3: changed the white balance

I proudly present you the Hamburg Airport!!!

Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you like it!
I did some PP, just like removing all stitching errors (the floortiles nearly killed me ).
And it's a HDR, so there has been a lot post process to be done.

DankeschΓΆn!

I'm curious now. What did you do first? HDR or panorama?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TiKy2010 In reply to insolitus85 [2011-05-25 17:05:20 +0000 UTC]

At first I created the HDRs and then stitched them.

The other way around it won't work, because the result of stitching software always a little bit different.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

insolitus85 In reply to TiKy2010 [2011-05-25 21:25:56 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's what I was having trouble with as well. Although HDR first didn't work out either for me. There was a shift in brightness/contrast between the first part and the second. I'm beginning to suspect my source images now though. Never fully trusted them anyways.

At least you've shown me it's possible to combine HDR and panoramas

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TiKy2010 In reply to insolitus85 [2011-05-30 14:27:35 +0000 UTC]

The source images... yes that might be the reason.
I'm not sure, but can't you select a fixed exposure time for photo series? That would help

Otherwise the tool Hugin is able to correct the brightness of the photos before you stitch them together. But the result is not that good.

OMG this is awesome really amazing job how do you make 45M pixels HDR panoramas ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TiKy2010 In reply to Hosam93 [2011-05-08 17:27:43 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot!!

My cam has a resolution of 10MP... so I did not took this panorama in one shot
You get 45MP by stitching all photos together (12750x3530px). That's all.

Hosam93 In reply to TiKy2010 [2011-05-08 17:58:18 +0000 UTC]

Absolutely nice I'm very eager to learn how to make HDR Panoramas I will use Hugin & Photomatix do you recommend these ? Sorry I'm very annoying

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TiKy2010 In reply to Hosam93 [2011-05-08 18:07:56 +0000 UTC]

Hey, feel free to ask me

Hugin is a mighty tool for stitching. If you have a Nvidia (8800 and better) grafic-card you can use it for the calculations & stitching process. This way it is about 20times faster.
Photomatrix... I tried the 30 days demo and it's really good but I do not want to pay 90€ for the full version. So, I use Luminance 2.0.1 and it's okay.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hosam93 In reply to TiKy2010 [2011-05-08 18:13:27 +0000 UTC]

Ohh thanks sooo much I have a mighty PC for designing and processing Intel Core i7 870 + 4 GB 1333Mhz DDRIII RAM + ATI HD 5670 so the hardware isn't a worry I downloaded Luminance but I think it's complicated isn't it ?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TiKy2010 In reply to Hosam93 [2011-05-08 18:23:12 +0000 UTC]

Okay, your hardware is perfectly for this task
For fast HDR processing my AMD Phenom X4 runs at 4GHz... Luminance doesn't support GPU-calculation

Luminance is a little bit complicated but Hugin is not easier to handle too
I prefer the tonemapping plugin Mantiuk '06
contrast factor 0.100 - 0.200;
saturation factor 1.000 - 1.300;
detail factor 2 - 4

I do not use the other tonemapping plugins,
the results are not very good at all

Actually I didn't see the Hugin's UI I will see what I can do , I must first take some RAWs with different exposures Thanks sooooo much for your help

TiKy2010 In reply to kingwen [2011-05-07 10:17:12 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot

I think the hard work is nessecary for a great panoramic shot. Maybe it's easier to use powerful software like photoshop to stitch everythin 100% perfectly together. But I want my work not to be done by a expensive programm, I want to finish it by myself

Love the detail in this. Busting to try HDR Pano's myself but no idea how to. Do you convert each series of 3 to HDR and then stitch / stitch the 3 sets first then HDR? What order did you do this one. Would appreciate the knowledge. Thanks. Steve
