- Thoughts -
I used the Disney color scheme for the cheshire simply because I wanted him to contrast more with Alice and if I had used the Burton movie version colors he would have closely matched her dress. Other than that I tried to use a very natural pallet to make the image border fantasy and reality.
I pulled elements from the clothes Alice is wearing into the background. Like the stripe pattern from her gloves into the vines and the folds shading into the mushrooms. The thinking is in a dream your mind fills in your surroundings with your experiences and sometimes even your senses.

love the colors. especially on the cat, on the alice's dress and on the clouds (in the background).
it's not the most original color selection - the blue dress and the purple cat, but if you went for the classic look, then i guess it is rather fitting.
the only coloring problem for me are the mushrooms in the foreground - the texture on them looks like a wall mesh more than the actual color of mushrooms. i'd have liked to see splashes of color on each of them as well and a better differentiation between them.
