Description
The Hero of King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow. I love this boy so much. He's a little cleaner-cut than most of my characters, so it was interesting to try to draw him. It turned out better than it could have. Anyway, some goofy sketches of a few of my favorite parts--all lines taken directly from the game.Prince Alex (c) Roberta Williams

KQVI was the best game in the series, and Alexander is my favourite member of the royal house of Daventry by miles. Even if he does get a bit emo sometimes.

Poor baby, reading love poetry ripped from the pages of books he doesn't own. Fortunately he is also super awesome and slays minotaurs, among other redeeming qualities.

I love how he wears a scarf AFTER the intro video XD and He's so campy it't hilarious. Those are also some of my favorite parts of the game, this is just epic XD

Amen to that! These games are brilliant. KQVI was definitely my favorite of the series, too. I loved everything about it--the puzzles, the romance, the music, the humor, the characters... it was great.

i heard they were making a kings quest 9,
but maybe it's just a rumor.
After my personal disappointed with KQ7(compared to 6)
and 8 not even with the main character being of royalty.
I grew up those games, and I was always too scared to play them by myself,
cause i was too afraid to die XD

I know what you mean! I was always so worried for Alexander. I would call my brothers in to help me make sure he lived. And I learned to spell on the text parser Quest for Glory games. Ah, good times.

i learned how to like read full commands from watching by brothers in kings quest 1-3
but in kings quest 6 it was so much easier.
one memory i had was being so freaked out in the minotaur's lair
especially since i played in the dark, in extra loud volume
i would like scream if i heard the minotaur's hooves

Oh, totally! The music from the trap room still freaks me out a little bit whenever I hear it. And I still remember the tenseness of frantically trying to grab the sword to fight Alhazred at the end.

yeah, i love the games 'cause they bring back such
awesome and some frightening(for me) memories.Kings quest 5 was probably the most scary for me
cause he can die way easier than alexander and mordack's castle scared the crap outta me
kings quest 3 for me was hard too, cause i was always freaked out when you're in silence and then the wizard

It was SO EASY to die in 5. I got to the point where I just said, "Oh, he died again," whenever anything bad happened to Graham. Poor man.

its all cedric's fault, in my opinion.
I think that many of Graham's death was a
suicide cause cedric was so annoying.
My favorite death was at mordack's castle,
the 5 feet death drop

Wonderful. I love the sketches on the left and their linework. But I really lvoed the colored full body and head shot of Alexander. THe colors are jsut so crisp and neat. They're awesome!!!

okay. I had another Aubrey artwork dream! I dreamt I was playing kqvi but I get dropping my stupid signet ring on the beach and I couldn't figure out how to pick it up(only ever having watched it played and never actually played it myself). And it was also set to be in the next Arena Theater season; we were set to do kqvi like a play! So my dad was asking me what it was all about, specifically what Alexander was like. But he was just annoying me because I needed to figure out how to pick up my ring. I was afraid someone was gonna steal it.
conclusion: talking to Aubrey before I go to sleep leads to weird dreams.
