Description Spoilers? Not many, though. The movie was actually surprisingly straightforward, given the topic.

It was also AWESOME. And the awesomest part was Badass McGreasyhair Arthur Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Yesssssss. He is not 14 anymore, America.

Despite my stupid comments next to the sketches, I did very much enjoy this movie. It's okay! Derision is my love language.

This will probably end up scrapped when I get sick of looking at it, blah.

Inception belongs to Not Me
Art belongs to Me

I know, right? It's got everything: intrigue, crazy dream worlds, explosions, espionage, attractive men, romance, comedy... yes. That is what I call a good movie.

Man oh man, did he take me by surprise. SEXY surprise.

indeed.

Can you think of a worse fate, though? Limbo for fifty years. I shudder to think of it.

'Stuck in Limboooo' made me lol, srsly. And YAY for Arthur/Ariadne. Those two need a sitcom spinoff. Eames can be the wacky neighbor.

Aren't they adorable? I love that they paired the guy with "no imagination" the girl inventive enough to become an architect with hardly any training.

... although for a guy with no imagination, Arthur sure comes up with clever ways to deal with difficult situations. Maybe Eames is just jealous because Arthur gets a love interest and he doesn't.

yeah arthur is pretty creative when he has to be XD and eames is awesome too. "dont be afraid to dream a little bigger darling" XD. so awesome. i love how the two quarrel throughout the movie. it makes it even more amazing. and yeah, he is SO jealous XD

Oh, Eames is hilarious. But Arthur is... very endearing. And both are quite badass, as previously mentioned.

you saw a movie? And it wasn't pixar? Everyone says it's just the best thing ever, but I haven't seen it yet. I actually haven't been to the movies at all this summer.

time-well-wasted In reply to Lizzzerina [2010-07-20 18:02:35 +0000 UTC]

It was pretty great. I went in not expecting much, and ended up really enjoying it. I don't want to over-hype it for you, but it's definitely worth seeing.

Lizzzerina In reply to time-well-wasted [2010-07-22 01:28:10 +0000 UTC]

OKAY! I saw it, and it was indeed AWESOME. You needn't have worried about overhyping it since Dave took care of any damage that could have been done in that area. He's calling it a classic already. But he didn't ruin it for me at all. And he bought me my ticket. So there's a plus to having him love it.

And I loved it. I didn't really read your comments or opinions on it since I knew I would eventually see it and I didn't want anything ruined. I want you to know that independently I also immensely enjoyed watching Arthur waking up whilst falling over in chairs.
And when the "give me a quick kiss" moment happened, I was like "now her gchat status makes sense!"

But you can probably guess that I favored Eames over Arthur. Arthur isn't quite rough enough around the edges for me to go for him whole hog. Also: Eames is more of a jackass, and we all know I like that in a fictional man.

That is when having enthusiastic brothers pays off like whoa. I'm glad you also enjoyed it. It's a pretty awesome movie. I want to see it again.

I THOUGHT you'd go for Eames. I liked a lot of his lines, but I think I was too busy being endeared to Arthur's stick-in-the-muddiness. Eames came off a bit too skeazey for me. But still, he was hilarious and had some good fight scenes of his own. He just wasn't my favorite.

OMG I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt! Perfect! And lol on the "I'm Ken mother f'ing Watanabe"

But, no offense, the badass McGreasy hair makes me think he has to pee

Brilliant all around!

Hahaha, oh man, that's hilarious. He's supposed to be, like, dodging lightly to the side or something... you know, bodies in motion... I just fail. I will never be able to look at that sketch the same way again.

I definitely wasn't expecting it, but all of my favorite parts featured him. When they were testing the "kick" and had a bunch of shots of him falling out of chairs? Brilliant. The whole zero gravity fight sequence? Also brilliant. And of course, "It was worth a shot." Yesssssss.

AbsoluteXZero In reply to time-well-wasted [2010-07-20 04:48:32 +0000 UTC]

I know. I wasn't sure when they first intorduced him if I wasn't going to like him or not, but that changed quick. XD
omg, I forgot about the "kick" testing. I loved that. Especially the first time when he wasn't expecting it and was all, "AAAUGH- STOP THAT."
I spent the whole zero gravity fight sequence going ngggghyessssss X'D
