Description My first big break in comics came right around the turn of the century/millennium, working on the DC Comics series Batman: Gotham Adventures, which was based on the animated TV show  The New Batman Adventures. It was a dream come true for me, it jumpstarted my comics career, and I got to work with some amazing people, including the wonderfully talented  Scott Peterson, who took over writing B:GA at the same time I began drawing it.

This issue was the last of our four-year run on the series.

Batman: Gotham Adventures #60 was written by Scott Peterson, pencilled by me, inked by Terry Beatty, lettered by Albert T. de Guzman, coloured by Lee Loughridge, and published by DC Comics. If you'd like to read more, you can find the rest of the comic on  Comixology.

Thanks for looking!

“Oh, Batsy, without me you’d be bored to tears! Why, without me, you’d be playing checkers with that guy in the red and blue jammies and muttering to yourself! Search your feelings! You know it to be true! Fish gotta fly, birds gotta swim, Joker’s gotta joke!”

”That’s where you’re wrong, Joker.”

”Am I? Pray tell, enlighten me!”

”I don’t play.”

”Well, fill me with helium and call me a balloon! Bats just made a joke! Admittedly, not a very good one, but hey—we can’t all be me!”

The Batman/Joker rivalry is as strong as ever.

This is one of the reasons why I never understood what is the reason for Batman having to save someone who clearly can't be redeemed nor rehabilitated. What he said in Under the Red Hood about if he goes down into that place he'll never come back, that was nothing but pure selfishness. He's willing to sacrifice every person in Gotham City innocent or not just so he can avoid crossing that (I hate saying this) damn line by ridding the world of a homicidal clown who would want the world to burn. Sometimes I think other heroes like Optimus Prime of Transformers, Commander Shepard of Mass Effect, Master Chief of Halo, and even Sora of Kingdom Hearts are better than the Dark Knight because they're making choices that affects others more than themselves and when they're brought down into that dark place they have the love and support of friends, family, and loved ones to pull them out of that abyss while Batman has nothing.

Sad but true.

Also, given Batman's rampage, is there ANYTHING that can possible scare the joker?! XD
