Description A redesign of the Outsider from XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

In keeping with the Floater I redesigned a while back, I wanted to base this one on UFO lore; this time on the Antonio Villas Boas case. I took some whimsical liberties with the suit design of course, but all the major components are there: double-long helmet, three air hoses, eye lenses, glowing red chest thingy...

Instead of a crystal energy being, this outsider is human/alien hybrid, likely the end result of the aliens' abduction operations. These enemies would serve as the alien counterparts to the player's soldiers in battle, appearing about a third the way through the game. Although somewhat weak, they are highly mobile, utilize squad tactics and specialized weaponry, and are resistant to psyonic attacks.

Basically they'd replace the mutons, gameplay-wise. I have other plans for those guys...

Nice Design! I've never heard of that Boas Case before and wow that is a weird but fascinating story.

I like the design, prefer gender neutral as it's not telling and does go against the bit of sectoids being gender neutral at that stage of the series also. I would say utilize squad tactics sounds too much like what the Mutons do, and a lot of foes do try to out flank the player anyway. As for psionic resistant, I think that again is OP too much on a design that has your intention to utilize squad tactics and great mobility.

I can though see great promise though for this design if it was featured, from
co-ordinating seekers, sectoid commander bodyguard, to a unique light mec class, what lacks for power and durability is made up with great speed, agility and hack ability on your Mecs.

Maybe you could send it to Firaxis... And it might appear in XCOM 2.

I love this design so much more than the one we got that I just... Dude. You need to send this to the people at Fraxis. Seriously.
